I was absent when we were doing our group discussion, but that did not stop me from noticing a lot of details. On page 199, we can see that he has finally fixed the hole in his life. He constantly did drugs and that took him away from his education. Early in his life, he did not have support when he needed it most. This is terrible for a kid. Jail had a lot of structure to it. Before the trail, he pleaded to not be put in jail, but if that happened he would not be the man he is today. Jail was extra support he needed. Jail also stopped him from doing drugs. On page 193, we find out he finally will be getting a proper education. This is what he has been trying to do his entire life. Now that he finally has this education he can start a new chapter in his life. This new chapter will be filled with his ideas, and his books. He will take control of his life and stop letting destiny control him like he is a second-class citizen. He will finally be the king of his life. After all, that is what he has been striving for. The entire book things were agains him, but in the worst of times he stayed calm and prospered. He rises against the odds and took what was naturally his. He took his life back. These experiences help him write, even thought he left a big book of his writing in the prison, what he learned their will never be lost from his writing. I look forward to reading his future books and seeing how they are influenced on by his prison life and other mistakes.
